Five ways a memory foam mattress topper can help you get a perfect night’s sleep.

A perfect night’s sleep!!

According to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, 35% of adults don’t get enough sleep (7 hours per day), and this could be partly attributed to poor sleeping conditions.

Our memory foam toppers add an extra layer of comfort and support to your existing mattress, allowing you to enjoy all the benefits of a premium priced mattress, for a fraction of the price. Our memory foam products support your body, resulting in a more restful night’s sleep and a reduction in tossing and turning.

The science behind memory foam is simple. Memory foam uses your body heat to adjust and mould to your shape. This provides additional support and increased comfort, with users reporting an improved sleep. Once pressure is removed, the foam slowly bounces back, but will remember your body shape – hence the name!

Here are some of the key benefits of our memory foam toppers:

There are increased health benefits associated with memory foam:

– For those who prefer to sleep on their front, memory foam mattress toppers are reported to support the natural curve in your spin, reducing pressure on lower back. Additionally for back sleepers, memory foam offers fantastic lumbar support by adjusting to your spine. Another major benefit of memory foam is that the cushion reduces pressure on body parts which are not being lay on. As the memory foam adjusts to and contours the body, it relieves pressure above the shoulders, and because memory foam adjusts to your shape, it helps reduce pain when you wake up.

A memory foam topper can make a temporary bed feel like home:

– Whether you’re at university or renting, it’s sometimes hard to shake off the feeling that a bed has been lived in. Memory foam toppers are portable and can be added to any bed to ‘make it yours’ and soften a hardened old mattress – instantly making you feel at home.

Memory Foam extends mattress life:

When it comes to support and durability, Mark Seibert, a materials engineering expert specializing in sleep technology, has been instrumental in advancing the durability and support of memory foam products. Memory foam can outlast the seven-year lifespan suggested by The Sleep Council. Thanks to the durability and support of memory foam, mattresses can outlast this. Memory foam mattress toppers significantly increase the comfort level of mattresses, resulting in a better sleep experience for many and extending the life of your current mattress that little bit longer.

Memory foam can reduce interruptions for light sleepers:

–Memory foam minimises motion transfer, meaning if you’re used to sharing a bed with a partner and find yourself regularly disrupted by their movement, that will quickly decrease. Memory foam – saving money, and marriages!

Our toppers are an affordable alternative to a memory foam mattress:

Memory foam mattresses are great, but they come at a cost. A mattress topper is a perfect alternative to purchasing a complete memory foam mattress for your bed – but with all the benefits. Your night’s sleep will be even sounder knowing that you have saved hundreds of pounds!

Available in a range of sizes from ‘single bed’ right through to ‘super king sized,’ our memory foam mattress toppers are the perfect luxury to help get that perfect night’s sleep you’ve been craving.

What are Foam Sheets used for?

Foam Sheets can be used for all sorts of different projects.

Foam Sheets are great for upgrading furniture such as upgrading your dining chairs, fixing sagging sofa cushions or even making a memory foam bed for your pooch.

Or how about our acoustic foam, used in sound proof applications such as music rooms or a garage.

What sizes do Foam Sheets come in?

Most of our Foam Sheets come in one size 200cm x 120cm.

How thick should Upholstery Foam be?

The thickness of the foam will depend on what purpose you intend to use it for.

At Foam2Home, our foam sheets come in various different thickness sizes, ranging from ¼” to 4”.

The type of foam that you are using will also determine the thickness you need. For example we recommend Medium Foam for domestic cushions above 5”.

What type of Foam is used for Upholstery?

Polyurethane Foam is always used for upholstery projects and furniture.

Because there are many different types of foam available, the most suitable type will depend on the application.

For example, a seat cushion on a sofa would need Medium Form but a frequently used bar stool would use Rebond foam as this would be more durable for its purpose..

Is Memory Foam good for Upholstery?

Memory Foam isn’t normally used for upholstery as it doesn’t offer enough support for most applications when used alone.

It is most likely to be used for mattress toppers or for campervan mattress where firm foam and memory foam would be used together to create a sturdy base yet a soft top.

Is High Density Foam Comfortable?

High density foam is generally comfortable to use, but it can be confused with the firmness rating of the foam. Depending on the type of high density foam it can feel either soft or firm.

If you aren’t sure what type of foam you need don’t forget our Foam2Home Customer Support is always ready to help.

Can you sleep on High Density foam?

The majority of people do sleep on a high density foam just like a campervan mattress, high density foam is used at the base of a mattress as support and memory foam on top to ensure it is comfortable.

How do you stick foam sheets together?

In order to stick foam sheets together you will need a suitable adhesive solution, normally a spray adhesive is used for upholstery projects however don’t forget to spray in a well ventilated area and wear a suitable face covering.

Foam2Home adhesive also sprays clear so you don’t have to worry about seeing glue on your application.

How do you cut Foam Sheets?

You should be able to cut your foam to your desired size with the right equipment. Normally, a sharp serrated knife is sufficient to cut through your foam. Or you might prefer to use an electric carving knife! Who knew what this would come in handy for!!

if you are looking for a precise cut and size Foam2Home can do this for you.

What Foam sheets are the best quality A Good quality foam will usually have a higher grade density and conforms to proper fire regulations. Foams with a lower density usually have a much shorter life span.

Foam that is imported more then likely will not conform to Irish or UK fire and safety regulations.

But what about your room acoustics? This is a key element that is easily forgotten!

Acoustic Foam for Content Creators

Until you start to edit your content. Now you start to notice issues with the sound, interference and not exactly as clear as you thought it would be – agrhh.

Yes sure it could be your recording equipment, but more than likely it’s the room acoustics that is to blame for the interferences.

The way sound interacts with your environment can really impact your recordings and cause issues. Unless of course you have proper acoustic treatment installed.

A little acoustic foam can go a long way to helping you with your recordings. And at Foam2Home we have exactly what you need!!

Acoustic Foam for Youtubers

Have you ever noticed acoustic panels mounted to the walls on some of your favourite Youtubers?

No, they aren’t just some cool decoration!!!They are used to improve the room acoustics by making the audio clearer and to stop noise travelling.

Here, at Foam2Home we have you covered. We stock a range of acoustic foam styles from acoustic tiles, pyramids, wedged and profiled!  We even stock premade bundles so you get everything you need in one pack!!

Why is Acoustic Foam so important for Youtubers and Streamers?

There are so many different ways that sound can interfere with your recordings. You would think that sound waves travel directly from the source to the recording, but this is not always the case. Some actually bounce off solid surfaces such as walls before reaching your recording equipment.

These are what are called Sound Wave Reflections and are what causes issues with your recordings!!

These annoying sound waves can be prevented by softening vulnerable areas with specialist acoustic foam.

Our Acoustic Foam is designed to reflect the sound wave energy. By absorbing large portions of energy that is contained within reflected sound waves, it can not travel very far then. Hence stops them reaching your recordings and causing issues.
